Bhakti Fest West preview

This week in Joshua Tree, the dawn will rise into a beautiful sun salutation, anticipating what followers call, “The Spiritual Woodstock of The New Millennium.” Bhakti Fest West has returned to the high desert to raise our consciousness, with 5 days of yoga, dance, music, and Kirtan workshops guided by the world’s finest spiritual teachers. Guests will enjoy yoga sessions offered 12 hours a day, delicious raw vegan and vegetarian cuisine, and camping under the dark starry night of the desert sky.

Workshops will include spiritual knowledge, healing centers, and guided meditation. Innovative and visionary teachers, including Shiva Rea, Sianna Sherman, and Yogi Cameron, will host all holistic activities. Classes and events are open to all levels, from beginners to advanced yogis. With the, “Conscious Kids Land,” play area, family members of all ages are encouraged to break out their yoga mats and join in!

Bhakti Fest West also presents a dynamic musical lineup. Artists will perform a mix of sacred Kirtan chanting fused with modern music such as blues, gospel, reggae, rock, and hip-hop. Headliners include Grammy nominee Krishna Das, Trevor Hall, and MC YOGI.

The word, “Bhakti,” itself means love, connection and belonging- these ideals truly embody the heart of the festival.  Bhakti Fest West is more than yoga practice- it is a place where seekers and believers can come together as a community, to pursue enlightenment and change the world one breath at a time.
