Intersect Palm Springs Art + Design, the Coachella Valley’s premier contemporary art and design fair, is set to return to the Palm Springs Convention Center from February 12–16, 2026, aligning once again with Modernism Week, the desert’s most celebrated showcase of architecture, art, and design.
Now in its fourth edition, Intersect Palm Springs promises to be its most expansive and dynamic presentation to date—featuring an impressive roster of international, national, and regional galleries. Visitors can look forward to an inspiring week filled with curated tours, thought-provoking talks, immersive activations, and opportunities for dialogue and discovery across disciplines of art, design, and technology.
Exploring the Intersections of Art, Light & Technology
The 2026 fair will debut a new thematic focus: “The Intersections of Technology, Light, and Art.” This year’s programming will examine how emerging technologies continue to shape creative expression and cultural impact through a variety of curated exhibitions and discussions.
Highlights include:
• The Intersection of Art, Light & Technology – A seminar series featuring panels and presentations delving into new creative technologies and their influence on modern art and culture.
• Art, Light & Technology Activation – A special exhibition curated by Sharissa Iqbal, spotlighting artists whose works merge digital innovation with sensory experience.
• East × West – A collaborative exhibition uniting the Pratt Institute (New York) and California College of the Arts, bridging artistic education and dialogue between coasts.
• A California Collective – A showcase celebrating the next generation of galleries and boundary-pushing artistic voices from across the state.
• Art as a Catalyst – A focused exhibition featuring internationally acclaimed artist Paula Crown, exploring art’s role in advancing social and environmental change.
• Marilyn Turns 100 – Presented by Melissa Morgan Fine Art, this special exhibition features Lawrence Schiller’s iconic photographs of Marilyn Monroe, with the artist in attendance.
• Art, Design & Architecture – Programming dedicated to exploring the legacy of design that continues to shape the Coachella Valley’s distinctive art and architecture aesthetic.
• Intersect Artist Studio – Curated solo presentations offering visitors a chance to engage directly with artists representing their own work.
Honoring Artistic Excellence
This year, Intersect Palm Springs will also present the Intersect Palm Springs Art + Design Awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the regional and national art communities. Previous honorees include acclaimed artists Gerald Clarke and Ryan Campbell.
