Desert pop priestess Jesika von Rabbit returns with the release of her brand-new video-single “Wacko,” out today. The track serves as the fourth single of her forthcoming full-length album dropping Friday, June 13, 2025 via Dionysus Records.
A visual fever dream, the “Wacko” video plays out in true Jesika fashion—equal parts surreal and stylish. Shot in the otherworldly sand dunes off Highway 111 near Palm Springs, the video contrasts raw desert glam with a crumbling dinner party that descends into full-blown chaos. “I love getting out in the elements dressed like a freak, stopping traffic, getting looks from the passersby,” Jesika shares. “That’s what we did with the ‘Wacko’ video.”
Rooted in Joshua Tree’s high desert mystique and infused with Palm Springs’ retro-futuristic dazzle, Jesika von Rabbit has become the sonic embodiment of the region she calls home. Her genre-bending sound—coined Electronica Americana—is a kaleidoscopic mix of psychedelic Western vibes, glam rock, and space-age pop.
The upcoming album promises to be her most ambitious yet. Produced by Jesika herself alongside Ethan Allen at The Rabbit Ranch (Joshua Tree) and Royal Triton Studios (Silver Lake), the project blends Americana, psychedelia, atmospheric electronica, futuristic pop, and rock ‘n’ roll into what Outside Left calls “a VERY clever record.”
