Indie rock icon Kim Deal is set to take the stage at Pappy & Harriet’s on March 29, bringing her unmistakable sound to the intimate desert venue. Known for her groundbreaking work with Pixies, The Amps, and The Breeders, Deal has long been a force in alternative music. Now, she’s stepping into the spotlight with her first-ever solo album, Nobody Loves You More, released via 4AD in November 2024.
The album, a deeply personal and sonically rich collection, features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including past and present Breeders bandmates Mando Lopez, Kelley Deal, Jim Macpherson, and Britt Walford, as well as Raymond McGinley (Teenage Fanclub), Jack Lawrence (Raconteurs), Fay Milton and Ayse Hassan (Savages), and legendary producer Steve Albini. The record weaves together stories from Deal’s life—childhood trips to Florida, her mother’s dementia, and even wedding band covers of “Margaritaville”—while nodding to her influential past.

Recently, Deal unveiled a Richard Ayoade-directed video for “Big Ben Beat,” a standout track from the album. Ayoade, known for his visionary filmmaking, praised Deal, saying, “Kim Deal has few equals – the starting point of her work is genius. And then it goes up from there.”
With her signature mix of raw energy, sharp songwriting, and indie rock authenticity, Deal’s upcoming show at Pappy & Harriet’s promises to be a must-see event. Don’t miss the chance to experience one of alternative music’s most beloved figures live in the desert.
