O Gallery LA presents “Opaque”, an exciting new art exhibition by Los Angeles based artist Mike Habs. Hosted by Planet Rooth Studios in Cathedral City, California.
“Opaque” Invites its viewers into the colorful, expansive, and energetic world of abstract graffiti artist Mike Habs. Vibrancy, expression, precision & technique are all explored, celebrated, and pushed to new limits in his third solo exhibition.
This new body of work brings forward Mike’s consistent progression of technique, enthusiasm for the craft, and displays an extraordinary attention to detail. Painted mostly with handmade spray paints, these works on canvas, wood, & aluminum submerse the viewer into breathtaking vibrancy, while providing an energetic cathartic release.
“Creating these works really made me reflect on the critical elements within my process – color, surface, writing, etc – deconstruct each one, and then try to refine and really push each of them as far as I could. All in service of the concepts conveyed and the interpersonal experience of the viewer.”
