Every month we bring you #coachellamagazinetalkradio — A contemporary art+culture podcast.

Ocho Ojos is a Psychedelic Cumbia band from Coachella, CA. The band’s unique style includes Latin groove rhythms infused with styles deriving from the Blues & psychedelic undertones, all brought together by the strong driving force of traditional Cumbia music.

“I guess, a lot of the influence was because in the 60s, it was that whole psychedelic movement. So cumbia, it’s a very traditional genre comes from Colombia…but this chicha psychedelic cambia is like modern with electric guitar and all those, all these effects. I make the music sound very like trippy and spaced out.” — Cesar Flores
