Stagecoach 2025 is adding a new kind of experience to its lineup—and it has four legs. In a groundbreaking collaboration, Los Angeles-based collective Compton Cowboys and Nashville’s Gravel Road Music are bringing the Equine Wellness Experience to this year’s country music festival. Set inside the Compton Cowboys Corral, this immersive activation offers festivalgoers the chance to step away from the crowds and connect with horses in a mindful, calming environment.
Running daily from 2–6 PM, the Equine Wellness Experience will feature non-riding activities led by Compton Cowboys founder Randy Savvy, performance horse trainer Taylor McCollum, wellness advocate Maritt Peterson, and equine behavior expert Patrick Dunn, MS, ICADC. Attendees will explore themes of mindfulness, confidence, and communication, with surprise appearances from Stagecoach performers joining the workshops.
“Caring for and trusting an animal 10x your size naturally inspires compassion, empathy, humility, and responsibility,” said Randy Savvy. “It teaches us how love and attention are essential to nurturing both the animal and the bond you share in that moment.”
The idea for the experience came from Gravel Road co-founder Anthony Martini, who saw the therapeutic potential firsthand. “Most artists I know worry about their careers 24/7 but don’t prioritize their own well-being,” said Martini. “Horses have a profound effect on people—just being near them is healing. We wanted to create a space at Stagecoach where artists and fans alike could decompress in a fun, welcoming way.”
Expect a full weekend of curated music sets from DJs including Corey Biggs, Country Night, Hamooudie, Jay Shredz, and Super Drew, spinning everything from Street Country to YeeDMto hip-hop.
Founded on the principle that “Streets Raised Us. Horses Saved Us,” the Compton Cowboys have been transforming lives through horsemanship for over 30 years, offering a positive path forward for at-risk youth in underserved communities. Their mission aligns seamlessly with Gravel Road’s ethos of championing individuality and culture through music.
