Before You Now: Capturing the Self in Portraiture focuses on the enduring theme of the artist’s self-portrait, as seen in a selection of works from LACMA’s collections of photographs, prints, drawings, videos, and installation art. Primarily featuring contemporary makers, the exhibition is an introduction to seeing American artists as they see themselves—or as they want to be seen by their public.

Desert Gold will once again bring a lineup of DJs, artists and party collectives to the desert, for hotel guests and visitors to the valley alike. The Mobius Conference is once again bringing together a dynamic group of speakers from throughout the country to meet with and engage Coachella Valley students, artists, and community leaders. The conference will take place April 17-18 at five different venues including Sunnylands Center and Gardens, PKS3 Studio, and the Coachella Library. Over 1,000 students are expected to attend programs directed toward career development, media diversity, civic engagement, and AI technology.

The Broad is pleased to announce the launch of a new touring special exhibition Mickalene Thomas: All About Love, running from May 25 to September 29, 2024. Co-organized by the Hayward Gallery, London, and The Broad, Los Angeles, and in partnership with the Barnes Foundation, Philadelphia, Mickalene Thomas: All About Love will be the first major international tour of this pioneering artist’s work.
