Cinema Diverse, the annual Palm Springs celebration of LGBTQ+ films and filmmakers returns this September for its seventeenth edition. The festival opens on Thursday, September 19th at 7pm, and runs to Sunday, September 22nd, then takes a brief break before returning on Thursday, September 26th and running to Sunday, September 29th.
Palm Springs Pride, the largest free Pride festival in Southern California, is a week-long celebration of unity, diversity, and equality. Neon Trees opens the Festival on October 31st, Sister Sledge headlines Nov 2, and George Michael Reborn on Nov 3. Fifty acts will be presented on four stages as the city transforms into a vibrant hub of events, culminating in the spectacular Pride Parade on November 3rd. This year's theme, "Be You," encourages self-expression, inclusivity, and love, reflecting Palm Springs' dedication to cherishing the value and dignity of all people. Celebrating its eleventh anniversary in 2025, the Rancho Mirage Writers Festival stands as a world-class gathering, welcoming 60 esteemed authors and 1,000 readers annually from across the globe to the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory every January. Founded by Jamie Kabler in 2014, with the vision of creating a premier intellectual event for the Coachella Valley, the festival has earned the moniker “Coachella for the brain.”
