Celebrating its eleventh anniversary in 2025, the Rancho Mirage Writers Festival stands as a world-class gathering, welcoming 60 esteemed authors and 1,000 readers annually from across the globe to the Rancho Mirage Library and Observatory every January. Founded by Jamie Kabler in 2014, with the vision of creating a premier intellectual event for the Coachella Valley, the festival has earned the moniker “Coachella for the brain.”
The Palm Springs Art Museum’s annual Black History Month closing celebration. The evening will be filled with music by DJ Theregozaay, games, food, a break dance performance by The Desert Peeps, and local BIPOC vendors including Lunar Jewelz, UTB Worldwide and many others.
