Porta Via Palm Desert

Celebrate Cinco de Mayo and Mother’s Day
Start

Porta Via Palm Desert is setting the table for two of May’s most anticipated celebrations with a blend of California freshness and Italian-inspired comfort.

On May 5, Chef Frankie Perez brings Cinco de Mayo to life with a limited-time menu that leans bright, bold, and coastal. Guests can toast with the signature Desert Heat cocktail made with Bebemos Tequila, then dive into dishes like mini beer-battered fish tacos with avocado salsa, an agua chile verde shrimp roll with jalapeño and cucumber, and hearty tostada bowls or enchiladas suizas layered with house-made salsas and fresh herbs. For dessert, a classic tres leches cake topped with seasonal berries rounds out the celebration.

Just days later, on May 9, Porta Via shifts focus to Mother’s Day, offering its full menu all day long in a setting designed for lingering meals and family gatherings. Drawing inspiration from proprietor Peter Garland’s own family traditions, the menu highlights brunch favorites like French toast and Eggs Royale alongside signature dishes such as miso-glazed Chilean seabass, grilled Ōra King salmon, New England lobster rolls, and the restaurant’s iconic organic butter lettuce salad with avocado, feta, and champagne vinaigrette.

For those looking to elevate the occasion, oysters, sushi, and caviar service are also available, adding a touch of indulgence to the celebration.

With its emphasis on seasonal ingredients, thoughtful preparation, and a lively El Paseo setting, Porta Via continues to position itself as a go-to destination for both festive holidays and everyday dining done right.
